Making a Difference

Childhood hunger is a reality in Harford County, Maryland. Weekend meal programs help fill the hunger gap that many school children experience when they are not in school.

As the cost of basic necessities continues to rise, individuals and families in Harford County are struggling to keep up. The situation is particularly difficult for seniors, many of whom have limited resources and live on a fixed income. To help our elderly neighbors, the HOPE Center of Maryland is launching HANDS for HOPE.

HANDS for HOPE will expand on the “free shopping days” that The HOPE Center currently provides to residents of several senior housing facilities. These “shopping days” supply seniors’ with food supplies, as well as a chance for socialization. HANDS for HOPE will let us extend additional “free shopping days” to other senior housing in Harford County and add home delivery to home-bound seniors. We look forward to this exciting opportunity to provide food and hope to those in need!

Our Mission

The mission of The HOPE Center of Maryland is to bring Hope to those in need within our community. Through collaborative efforts, we are collecting food and other essential staples and distributing these products to our network of community beneficiaries. Our efforts are providing these churches/programs/agencies the resources they need to optimally support the people they serve.

We are so grateful for our Food Donors. Together we work to get food and other necessities to families and individuals in need.
