As food costs continues to rise and specically household essentials such as laundry detergent, dish soap and paper goods, many in our community are finding it difficult to purchase or have enough in their home. The HOPE Center has received more requests for these items from our network of community food programs. In addition, the Center has increased food contributions to the senior living communities it supports. With this, we need help to raise additional monies to purchase more food and these nonfood essentials.

Through this raffle fundraiser, The HOPE Center’s goal is to raise $5000 dollars so these needed items can be distributed to OUR neighbors who face these challenges.

As the cost of basic necessities continues to rise, individuals and families in Harford County are struggling to keep up. The situation

is particularly difficult for seniors, many of whom have limited resources and live on a fixed income. To help our elderly neighbors, the HOPE Center of Maryland is launching HANDS for HOPE.

HANDS for HOPE will expand on the “free shopping days” that The HOPE Center currently provides to residents of several senior housing facilities. These “shopping days” supply seniors’ with food supplies, as well as a chance for socialization. HANDS for HOPE will let us extend additional “free shopping days” to other senior housing in Harford County and add home delivery to home-bound seniors. We look forward to this exciting opportunity to provide food and hope to those in need!

We are so grateful for our Food Donors. Together we work to get food and other necessities to families and individuals in need.
