Child hunger is a reality in Harford County, Maryland. Weekend meal programs help fill the hunger gap that many schoolchildren experience when they are not in school.

 

Through our Beyond Blessings program, The HOPE Center of Maryland provides food-insecure students with kid-friendly, nutritious food meal bags to sustain them on the weekends.

 

For the 2025/2026 school year, our goal is to provide 600 weekend meal bags weekly to students attending 11 Harford County Public Schools. Staff at the school distribute the bags to the students with the highest needs.

 

We are reaching out to the community for monetary bag sponsors or to organize a food drive on behalf of The HOPE Center.
