Who We Are

"Everything that is done in the world is done by hope." ~ Martin Luther

The HOPE Center of Maryland founded in 2013, is a tax-exempt not-for-profit, faith-based community service organization that operates a food distribution ministry serving Harford County, Maryland.  The HOPE Center’s goal is to ensure that all people in our community and surrounding areas, who are in immediate need, are not food-deprived. This is accomplished by soliciting and collecting food and non-food items for distribution through a network of service agencies, churches, and programs that serve our community.

Currently, The HOPE Center has been helping those facing financial challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic. During these difficult times, our local non-profit agencies and churches are struggling with revenue and the manpower resources to provide the services that are so desperately needed at this time. The HOPE Center has reached out to these community organizations and we have provided weekly deliveries of food and other household products to them so that they can continue their vital outreach to the families who depend upon them for help.

By the end of last year (ending December 31, 2020), The HOPE Center received and distributed 85,719 pounds of donated food and non-food essentials to the beneficiaries who we

support!

The heartbeat of The HOPE Center is to serve individuals and families who are struggling with making ends meet. The opportunity to collaborate with so many committed charitable organizations to help serve those in need has been as much a blessing to us as it has been to the people we have had the privilege of helping.

Our commitment is to meet people right where they are in their lives and assist them through non-judgmental acceptance, empathy, resources, direction, and HOPE….today!

The HOPE Center of Maryland, Inc. is an IRS code 501(c)(3) faith-based non-profit, volunteer-driven community service organization.
